HPS is pleased to announce three new faculty members who will be joining us over the next two years.
- Dana Matthiessen https://www.danamatthiessen.com (formerly a postdoctoral associate at the Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science) joins us this year as a Teaching Assistant Professor. Professor Matthiesson has wide teaching experience across the philosophy of science; his research is focused on scientific modeling and explanation.
- Raphael Scholl https://raphaelscholl.com/research (currently at the University of Geneva) will join us in Fall 2026 as an Associate Professor. Dr. Scholl works in the history and philosophy of the biological and biomedical sciences, with a particular interest in scientific epistemology and the methodology of integrated HPS.
- Kareem Khalifa https://www.kareemkhalifa.com (currently at UCLA) will join us in Fall 2027 as a full Professor. Professor Khalifa’s research interests range widely across general philosophy of science, philosophy of social science, and epistemology.
