My primary interest is in the philosophy of science. I became interested in the intersection between philosophy and science after learning about psychology’s replication crisis. The crisis made me disillusioned with psychology, especially since psychologists at my alma mater were not very keen on asking more fundamental questions about science and replication. This led me to pursue philosophy, where I felt more comfortable probing deeper into fundamental issues. However, philosophers at my alma mater were keen but do not specialize in the philosophy of science. This led me to Pitt HPS, where I hope to work on replication issues, philosophy of statistics, and evidence-based medicine.
