My interests in philosophy of science include the role of models and idealizations in making sense of complexity, especially across wide spatial and temporal scales. I am also interested in scientific explanation, feminist philosophy of science, and the role of values in scientific inquiry. When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy hiking and knitting. Before coming to Pitt I studied philosophy at Bryn Mawr College.
