Elizabeth O'Neill

My current research interests lie in moral epistemology and moral psychology. In particular, I am interested in the implications of biology and psychology for the epistemological status of our moral beliefs. I am also engaged in projects on the concept of innateness and on the work of embryologist C. H. Waddington. Other interests include history and philosophy of biology, philosophy of psychology, metaethics, applied ethics, and political philosophy. I came to Pitt after obtaining bachelors degrees in history and biology from Brown University.
