I think about scientific modeling and how it relates to our understandings of consciousness and belief. I am particularly interested in the role of error as a driver of inquiry. My work combines empirical and philosophical methods. It engages multiple fields, including neurobiology, behavioral economics, bioethics, artificial intelligence, and phenomenology. Prior to joining Pitt HPS, I worked in the Rogulja Lab at Harvard Medical School.
