Research Areas: Early Modern Philosophy, Ancient Philosophy, History and Philosophy of Science.

My research interests center on the history of late scholastic, Renaissance, and early modern philosophy, especially as it interacted with science and medicine. I also work on ancient philosphy, science and medicine (especially Aristotle). I have broad interests in general philosophy of science and the history of science.

I have been a primary organizer of the Medicine, Philosophy and the 'Scientific Revolution' initiative hosted at the University of Pittsburgh.
