My primary interests are in neuroscience, perception, and philosophy of mind. Recently, my focus has been on neuro-philosophy — particularly on speech perception and the origins of speech. I am also interested in non-visual modalities, multisensory perception, synesthesia, and sensory substitution. I have a secondary interest in philosophy of science, including scientific progress, theory change, idealization, modeling, and philosophy of time.
